No specific educational qualifications are required.
Identification Documents:
A valid, government-issued photo ID (passport or Canadian PR card) is mandatory for test entry.
The name on the ID must match the registration details.
Age Limit:
No official age restriction, but candidates under 18 may require parental consent.
Registration:
Candidates must register online through the official CELPIP website.
Test dates and locations are subject to availability.
Test Fees:
Fees vary by location and test type (CELPIP-General or CELPIP-General LS).
Additional charges apply for rescheduling or cancellations.
Test Format:
Two versions:
CELPIP-General (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) – for permanent residency & professional purposes.
CELPIP-General LS (Listening & Speaking) – for Canadian citizenship applications.
Fully computer-based test.
Scoring System:
Scores are provided on a scale of 1–12, aligned with the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB).

Instructions for the CELPIP Exam:
Before the Test:
Arrive at the test center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
Bring only the required ID; no personal items (phones, bags, or notes) are allowed inside.
Ensure familiarity with computer-based testing, as the exam is entirely digital.
During the Test:
Carefully follow on-screen instructions for each section.
Speak clearly into the microphone during the Speaking test.
Manage time effectively, as each section has a set duration.
Use built-in tools like spell check and word counter for Writing tasks.
After the Test:
Scores are available online within 4-5 business days (express results in 3 days).
Candidates can request additional score reports for institutions or employers.
Retakes are allowed, but candidates must book a new test slot.
